Heatmiser NeoHub Problems — Diagnosed & Fixed
NeoHub offline, thermostats dropping out, app not connecting — these are the most common Heatmiser problems we resolve across London every week. Most are fixable without a hardware replacement.
Describe Your Heatmiser Problem
We'll advise on next steps and arrange a visit if needed.
The most common Heatmiser NeoHub faults — and what causes them.
NeoHub offline / no internet
Likely fix:
Power-cycle the hub. Re-enter Wi-Fi credentials if router has changed. Confirm router DNS settings are compatible.
Thermostats offline but hub connected
Likely fix:
Re-pair affected thermostats. Check for RF interference. May require factory reset if hub firmware update caused pairing loss.
"No hub found" in app
Likely fix:
Confirm phone and hub on same Wi-Fi network. Power-cycle hub and router. Factory reset if persistent.
Zones not responding to app commands
Likely fix:
Check thermostat pairing status. Verify zone valve actuators are functioning. Test in local mode to isolate app vs hardware fault.
App commands delayed or unreliable
Likely fix:
Usually a cloud server latency issue. Try local network mode. Check NeoHub firmware is current.
Hub keeps dropping Wi-Fi connection
Likely fix:
Move hub closer to router or add a Wi-Fi extender. Check for DHCP conflicts — assign hub a static IP address.
When to call an engineer — and when to try it yourself.
Some NeoHub problems can be resolved by the homeowner in minutes. Others require an engineer on site. Here's the honest guide.
Try yourself first:
- Power-cycling the NeoHub (unplug 30s, replug)
- Re-entering Wi-Fi credentials after router change
- Checking thermostat battery (NeoAir wireless)
- Reinstalling the Heatmiser Neo app
- Checking the fused spur for the thermostat wiring
Call RARE:
- NeoHub not reconnecting after router change (network config required)
- Multiple thermostats offline simultaneously after firmware update
- Zone valve actuator not responding — UFH not heating
- Thermostat showing correct temp but boiler not firing
- Factory reset required — full re-commissioning needed after reset
