The RARE Privacy Promise
Your Home. Your Privacy.
Our Legal Obligation.
In an industry where tradespeople routinely name-drop clients and photograph prestigious properties for promotional gain, RARE takes the opposite position. Every person on our team is legally bound by a Non-Disclosure Agreement. Confidentiality is not a courtesy — it is a condition of employment.
Every RARE employee signs an NDA before their first day on the job.
This covers client identity, property details, access arrangements, security systems, observed décor and contents, and any conversations held on-site or in transit. Breach of this agreement constitutes grounds for immediate dismissal and civil action.
How We Protect You
Six Pillars of the RARE Privacy Promise
Each pillar represents a concrete, enforceable commitment — not a marketing pledge.
Internal NDA — Every Employee
Every RARE engineer, coordinator, and office team member signs a comprehensive Non-Disclosure Agreement before their first day. This is a legal obligation, not a guideline — covering client identity, property details, access arrangements, security systems, and any conversations had on-site.
We Never Name Our Clients
We do not reference, list, photograph, or discuss our residential clients publicly — not on social media, not in press releases, not in sales materials. The names of the people who trust us with their homes stay with us.
Secure Access & Key Handling
Access codes, key safe combinations, and entry details are stored in an encrypted, access-controlled system available only to the engineer assigned to your job. Details are never shared verbally or over unencrypted channels.
Vetted & DBS-Checked Engineers
Every engineer undergoes an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check and professional reference vetting before joining the RARE team. You know exactly who is in your home — and so do we.
Need-to-Know Only
Information about your property, schedule, and preferences is shared internally on a strict need-to-know basis. The engineer attending your job knows what is relevant to that visit — nothing more.
Property & Contents Respect
Our engineers lay protective coverings before any work begins, handle fixtures and furnishings with care, and leave every room as they found it. Discretion extends to how we move through your home.
Our Specific Commitments
What This Means in Practice
- Your name and address will never appear in any RARE marketing material without written consent
- On-site photographs are taken only for technical records and are never shared externally
- Sub-contractors, when used, are bound by the same NDA obligations as RARE employees
- Security information (codes, alarm details) is deleted from operative records upon job completion
- Any data we hold is handled in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018
- You may request deletion of your records at any time by contacting hello@rareplumbing.london
Why This Matters in Prime London
Our clients include high-profile individuals, diplomats, business executives, and families for whom privacy is not a preference but a necessity. A tradesperson who mentions having "worked in a stunning Mayfair townhouse" or shares a photograph of an interiors project is a security risk — however well-intentioned.
At RARE, we understand that access to a client's home is a privilege extended on trust. Our NDA, our vetting procedures, and our culture of discretion exist to honour that trust unconditionally.
