My Heatmiser thermostat has stopped working — what should I check first?

First, check the NeoHub app to see whether the thermostat is showing as offline or online. If offline, check the hub's Wi-Fi connection and the thermostat's power supply. A wired NeoStat may have lost its fused spur; a NeoAir wireless thermostat may need new batteries. If the thermostat is online but not calling for heat, check the schedule and set-point settings in the app.

My NeoHub has lost connection to the Wi-Fi — how do I fix it?

This is one of the most common Heatmiser issues. Causes include a router change, broadband provider change, or a firmware update that disrupted the connection. Try power-cycling the NeoHub first (unplug for 30 seconds). If it doesn't reconnect automatically, you may need to re-enter the Wi-Fi credentials via the Heatmiser Neo app. If this doesn't resolve it, our engineers can attend and re-commission the full system.

My underfloor heating zones aren't responding through Heatmiser — what's wrong?

The most common causes are: a zone valve actuator that has failed (requires replacement); the Heatmiser thermostat losing its pairing with the NeoHub; or a wiring fault at the manifold or zone valve. Our engineers carry replacement actuators and can diagnose and repair most UFH zone valve issues in a single visit.

Can you repair older non-Neo Heatmiser thermostats?

We can diagnose and repair some older Heatmiser models, but parts availability becomes limited for systems more than 8–10 years old. In most cases, we recommend upgrading to the Neo range — the installation uses much of the existing wiring infrastructure and the improvement in control and reliability is significant.

How quickly can you respond to a Heatmiser fault?

For properties with no heating due to a Heatmiser fault, we aim to respond same-day or next morning. We carry the most common replacement parts — actuators, thermostats, fused spurs — on our vans.

My Heatmiser shows the correct temperature but the room isn't heating up — why?

If the thermostat is calling for heat (showing the flame icon) but the room isn't warming, the issue is likely downstream: a zone valve or actuator that isn't opening, a blockage or restriction in the heating circuit, or a boiler fault. Our engineers can trace the fault through the system and resolve it in a single visit.

Our standard rate is £150/hr + VAT (minimum 1 hour) with no call-out charge, and most Heatmiser faults are resolved within that time. Common part replacements — zone valve actuators, thermostats, fused spurs — are typically £80–£250 including parts. We provide a fixed price before any work proceeds beyond the diagnostic.
