The Vaillant F29 fault code indicates that the burner ignited successfully but the flame was lost during operation — the flame went out while the boiler was running. The gas proportional valve regulates gas flow to the burner during operation. Unlike F28 where the valve won't open at all, with F29 the valve opens initially but then causes problems during operation.
